Teaching Women Reaching Children

Oasis seeks to change the lives of women and children, some of Paterson’s neediest citizens, by breaking the cycle of poverty through compassionate programs designed to feed, clothe, and educate. Impact100 Garden State’s funding supported the development of four levels of courses that prepare women to pass the high school equivalency exams and a new literacy course to teach women with very little formal education to read and do basic arithmetic.
