NONPROFIT OUTREACH CHAIR
I loved the concept of joining other like-minded women so we can provide significant financial support to nonprofits that demonstrate they can address unmet needs in our community.
Our responsibility is to ensure that Impact100 Garden State receives strong applications from nonprofits serving residents of our catchment area (Morris, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex and Union counties). We maintain an extensive database of nonprofits and use social media, direct emails, presentations to nonprofits and more to spread the word about how to apply for Impact funding.
It is gratifying to learn about the outstanding work of our nonprofit community. It is also inspiring to work with women who are energized and committed to supporting the work of nonprofits.
Impact100 Garden State does meaningful work and the friendships I have made are very important to me.
As a social worker, I spent 20 years in the field of foster care and adoption in New York City and New Jersey. For the last 25 years of my career, I was a faculty member at Saint Elizabeth University where I founded the social work program and served as Chair. As a volunteer, I am an active member of the League of Women Voters and the New Jersey Coalition Against Human Trafficking. From 1989-2003, I was a member of the Morris School District Board of Education, and from 2004-2012, I was a member of the CASA of New Jersey Board of Directors and served as president from 2008-2012.
