GRANT ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE CO-CHAIR
Impact100 Garden State membership is a wonderful way to network, befriend, socialize and collaborate with women who prioritize philanthropy while awarding high-impact grants to great nonprofits.
I co-lead our committee’s efforts to fulfill our fiduciary responsibility to voting Impact members by ensuring recipients responsibly spend awarded funds as they indicated in their grant applications.
We continually seek opportunities to support recipients, celebrate and publicize their successes and advocate for their Impact-funded program success.
As a long-time nonprofit professional and volunteer, I love interacting and collaborating with nonprofits, closely following their Impact-funded programs and advocating for their success.
Beyond your annual tax-deductible donation, you choose your level of involvement based on your availability and interests. Regardless of the roles you choose, you play an important part in collectively supporting the life-changing work of area nonprofits.
I am a nonprofit professional passionately committed to supporting, empowering, and advocating for families and individuals experiencing Type 1 Diabetes or housing insecurity through community engagement; communications; advocacy; grant writing, evaluation, and administration; organizational development and training; and volunteer management.
I currently work as a National Associate for Family Promise, Inc., a contract role supporting 200+ nationwide Family Promise Affiliates. I also recently joined the Board of Family Promise of the Lower Cape Fear.
I’m a longtime JDRF volunteer, and I currently serve as JDRF Advocacy District Captain for North Carolina’s 7th Congressional District. I support my local JDRF chapters’ development, outreach and advocacy efforts including meeting and communicating with senators and congressional representatives to advocate for legislation affecting Americans living with Type 1 Diabetes.
Other nonprofits I regularly support include Ocean Isle Museum Foundation, Grow it Green Morristown, South Brunswick InterChurch Council, Brunswick Family Assistance and my local faith communities.
I have an M.A. in Counseling, Human Services, and Educational Leadership from Montclair State University, and a B.S. in Information Systems Management from University of Maryland Baltimore County.
