To learn about other nonprofit organizations, participate in my philanthropy, and to meet like-minded women.

I try to give our organization a sense of belonging for all women and attempt to demonstrate that there is a broad meaning to the word diversity.

The challenge, because it is a bumpy, emotional road, but well worth what we can achieve together.

It is an organization where 100% of membership dollars are given to nonprofits and you can participate in the decision-making of where the dollars are donated. An added bonus is you can meet women who place an importance on philanthropy and share other like-minded philosophies.

I am the Executive Director of CASA of Morris and Sussex Counties since 2009. Prior to that, I had a 25 + year career in pediatric healthcare for children with special needs. I have published numerous articles and book chapters on topics related to neonatal and pediatric care. I have a Ph.D. in Rehabilitation from NYU.

My husband and I along with two other couples started the organization SparkNJ, two years ago with a mission to award unrestricted funds through trust-based philanthropy to small, Black-led nonprofit organizations in northern New Jersey.
