I liked the idea of pooling my donation with others to have a transformational impact on individuals, communities, and organizations beyond what my individual donation could do alone.
We ensure our members’ funds are spent responsibly and consistent with the grant recipients’ application and also support the grant recipients and celebrate their successes.
I’m able to learn more about our recipient organizations and see how the program for which they received a grant is implemented and the impact it has on their community.
It is a wonderful way to leverage your philanthropic giving and also learn about our local nonprofit organizations and the needs they address. You can also meet intelligent, like-minded women who make great friends.
I’m a former pharmaceutical executive who retired from Novartis as VP and Business Unit Head and then did independent consulting. I previously held Business Development & Licensing and Marketing positions with Schering-Plough and Eli Lilly.
My nonprofit experience includes various Board roles, including Board President, at Dress for Success Northern NJ. I’m also a past Trustee and Treasurer for the Visual Arts Center of NJ and Finance Committee member of the Great Swamp Watershed Association.
I’ve been a member of Impact100 Garden State since 2015. I’ve served on Grant Review committees for six years, with three as a Co-Chair. I’ve been a member of the Grant Administration committee since 2018, handling the liaison role with two grant recipients.
