Family Promise

Family Promise of Morris County

Family Promise of Morris County received a $100,000 grant for its program “Affirming Voices of Women to Secure Mental Health & Housing Stability.”  The AVOW project will provide clinical on-site mental health services on FPMC’s Promising Solutions Campus Partnership. This will directly result in long-term housing permanency for women experiencing homelessness and allow vacant housing units to be occupied.

Oasis Paterson NJ

Oasis—A Haven for Women and Children

Paterson-based Oasis—A Haven for Women and Children was awarded a $100,000 grant for 2023 for its program “WomenSpeak: The Oasis English as a Second Language Program.” Oasis's ESL Program provides daily English classes for more than 200 impoverished immigrant women of varying skill levels, helping them integrate into the community and improve their economic well-being. The program offers childcare, meals, clothing, counseling, and a supportive community.

Servant’s Heart Ministry

Servant’s Heart Ministry was awarded a $100,000 grant for its “Workmanship Trades Training & Mentoring Program,” which addresses the needs of under-skilled and underemployed people by offering free construction trade skills training in a hands-on learning program to young adults in the greater Paterson area and beyond.
